Norte Immigration Law (“Norte Immigration Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through nortelaw.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies only to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to information you provide to us in the course of an established attorney-client relationship, which is governed separately by our professional obligations of confidentiality and applicable rules of professional conduct.

We are an immigration law firm based in Connecticut that handles federal immigration matters nationwide.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Preferred contact type
  • Case type
  • The message or case details you choose to include

You control what you share with us. Please do not submit sensitive personal information, immigration documents, or confidential case details through the contact form. A contact form submission does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by us and our service providers, including:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and referring website
  • Date and time of access
  • Cookie and similar identifier data

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how it is used, and (in the future) deliver advertising.

Types of cookies and technologies we use:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics, to understand Site traffic and performance.
  • Advertising — Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) advertising pixels, which measure ad performance and allow us to reach people who have visited the Site with relevant advertising on Google and Meta platforms.

You will see a cookie banner on your first visit that allows you to accept or manage non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect how the Site works.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To opt out of interest-based advertising, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors that host the Site, provide analytics, deliver advertising, or otherwise support our operations. These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal compliance. When required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Norte Immigration Law, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of firm assets, if ever applicable.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and related inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, evaluate a potential representation, and comply with our recordkeeping, legal, and professional responsibility obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

California residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) provides the rights described above. We do not sell personal information and do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising involving consumers under 16.

Connecticut residents. If you are a Connecticut resident, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act provides rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, and opt out of targeted advertising or sale of your personal information.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry standard for interpreting these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted prominently on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
