Social Security Cards

Once an asylum application has been filed, clients become eligible for a work authorization card 150 days from the filing date. Processing takes about a month, and the card is sent directly to the Norte Immigration Law office, which will reach out when it arrives. To obtain a social security card and number, clients will need to visit a social security office in person.
