My Bio

With over 25 years of legal experience, Attorney Erin O’Neil-Baker has established herself as a leading advocate for the immigrant community in Connecticut and across the globe. Since 2008, Erin has focused her practice exclusively on immigration law, helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of the U.S. legal system to achieve legal permanent residency, citizenship, and safety from removal.

A Record of Excellence

Erin’s career is defined by her relentless commitment to her clients. She has successfully represented individuals in high-profile deportation cases and has a proven track record in defending clients in removal proceedings across the United States. Her expertise spans:

  • Family-Based Immigration: Helping families stay together through green cards and naturalization.
  • Deportation Defense: Representing clients in federal and administrative courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Fifth, and Ninth Circuits.
  • Asylum & Waivers: Securing protection for victims of violence and navigating complex waiver processes.

Leadership & Community Recognition

A respected voice in the legal community, Erin has served as the Secretary of the Connecticut Bar Association and is an active member of the Hartford Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Her dedication to service has been formally recognized by Connecticut Attorney General William Tong, who honored her for her significant contributions to the community.

Between 2020 and 2025, she has been consistently selected to Super Lawyers, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in the state.

Compassionate Advocacy

At Norte Immigration Law, Erin and her team believe that legal representation should be as comforting as it is effective. They specialize in “taking the fear out of the process,” providing a supportive, family-like atmosphere where clients feel valued and heard. Whether she is speaking at neighborhood gatherings or arguing before a federal court, Erin’s mission remains the same: to provide a clear, successful path forward for those making the United States their home.
